Students who did not complete their compare/contrast essay in class today will need to complete it over the weekend and turn in. It can be either handwritten or typed. I have attached a copy of the example essay. Students need to write 2 paragraphs, include a hook, transitions and concluding sentences. We have been working on writing a variety of sentence types, so students need to use a variety of sentences in their essay. We took our sentence writing quiz today. Students scores (even if it was a 100%) were written in their agenda's. Please ask them to show you their agenda and sign that you saw their grade. If you child does not have an agenda, then I handed them back their quiz with their grade on it for you to sign. Several students did not turn in their quizzes until the end of the class or did not give me their agenda. January 11, 2017
