6th grade Math Milestones will be on Monday, May 6th and Tuesday, May 7th. Please get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast and come prepared to do your best!
The Little Mermaid performances will be on Friday, May 3rd @ 7pm and Saturday, May 4th @ 3pm and 7pm. Support this wonderful performance by coming to see it! FLY will be Friday @ 8am. This week in ELA we will finish watching the videotext of Flipped and read the excerpt in our Springboard books. We will then write a paragraph comparing and contrasting the two versions and analyzing which one we liked the best. Students who have not completed their book reports will be completing them this week.

Congratulations to Brook Mathis, a 6th grader at PMMS, who was the 2nd Place Winner at State PTSA in 3D Visual Art!
Math tutoring will be Wednesday morning. Progress Reports will be available on April 30th. This week in ELA, students will continue editing and improving their written assignments. We will also be reading the story, Flipped, in our Springboard textbooks. Students will be identifying character perspectives. For warmups this week, we will be practicing writing simple, compound and complex sentences. For vocabulary, we will be using the LINCs strategy to study our social studies words for the next unit. This week's vocabulary words are aborigine, indigenous, Outback, tribe and discrimination. Homework: Monday - Complete LINCs table Tuesday - identify the nouns and predicate Wednesday - identify the prepositional phrases Thursday - identify the adjectives and adverbs Friday - identify the complete subject and complete predicate in class Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great break.
