In the meantime, remember that we are continuing our winter coat drive. If you have an gently used winter coats that you no longer use, please donate them for someone who may need it. Our Poinsettia Fund Raiser ends on Wednesday. Purchase your poinsettia here and help support our school! Wednesday will be our Thanksgiving luncheon! The 6th grade PTSA Pizza party will be on Wednesday after school from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. On Friday, progress reports will become visible. Parents please check your student's grades. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. Menchies will be sold during 7th period on Friday! This week in language arts, we will continue reading Walk Two Moons. We will continue working on summarizing, sequencing and identifying important details. We will be answering comprehension questions and comparing characters. On Monday, we will be introduced to Vocabulary Workshop Unit 3 words #1-5. The words are barrage, bigot, designate, diversity, and enigma. Students should be practicing every night this week. They can either use their flashcards/LINCs sheets and/or practice using the link under my Resources tab for unit 3. We will have a quiz over words 1-5 on Friday. Homework this week: Monday: finish vocabulary flashcards or LINCs sheets Tuesday: work on completing your comprehension questions #1-10 if you did not finish them in class. Wednesday: summarize what we read in class Thursday: finish Venn Diagram and write your compare/contrast paragraph using the RACES strategy. Friday: Next week log into USA Test Prep and work on your language arts skills.
