This week in ELA, we will be wrapping up our year. Students that have not completed and/or edited their Flipped compare and contrast paragraph or their Walk Two Moons book report will need to finish them as homework. The last class period to work on them at school is Monday, May 13, 2019.
Students will be introduced to their final summative project starting Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Students will be creating a poetry book. They will choose 3 topics to write about with corresponding figurative language to use in their 3 poems. One of their poems must be a diamante. Their poems should be either typed or neatly written with an original picture to illustrate 2 of their poems. All of their poems will be collected into a book with a cover. Poetry books will be due on Monday, May 20, 2019. poetry_book.pub poetry_book_notes.docx types_of_poetry.ppt figurative-language-lesson.ppt
